Picturesque Views Maximised with the Origin Sliding Door

The Bakers began their self-build project in 2017 with the intention of creating a modern home that framed the beautiful views of the picturesque Cornwall countryside. Incorporating glass into the home was essential to making the most of the scenery and letting in as much natural light as possible.

Discovering the Origin Sliding Door 

Whilst the couple had an idea for how they wanted their newly renovated home to look once complete, they weren’t sure what products would be best suited to achieving their vision. Whilst working at a stand in a neighbouring exhibition hall, Mr Baker decided to visit Origin’s stand at the 2018 FIT Show.

It was at the show that Mr Baker first saw the Origin Sliding Door which was being launched as part of the Origin Home Range. To maximise the beautiful views the couple knew they wanted their sliding doors to have thin frames. Origin’s aluminium inline sliding door has door frames of just 2cm wide which gives the panoramic view many homeowners require.

Fire-safe windows

Origin Windows were chosen throughout the property, in matching anthracite grey, to complement the three sets of sliders. The windows on the ground floor combine fixed windows for thin frames and top hung windows to ensure the correct egress for fire regulations to add a further element of safety to the new build.
