Origin Doors and Windows Create a Wonderfully Cohesive Home

John and Sue purchased their property in the August of 2015 and have since been living happily with their ever-growing family. With an expanding family, they felt now was the perfect time to expand their home.

Bi-folding doors came as a part of a larger project of extending the back of the house. Whilst doing this, John and Sue decided they would also replace their back doors and windows with Origin products. This not only allowed them to open up their home from the inside, but also added a wonderfully uniform touch to their home, something that John and Sue claim to be the perfect finishing touch to the exterior.

After deciding on a set of bi-folds, John and Sue liaised with their builders who recommended visiting Shard Solutions - their local Origin premium partner. After visiting the showroom and looking through the Origin brochure, John and Sue felt informed and keen to get their Origin products installed. The bi-folds sold themselves with their great quality. Next came the French doors, of which they chose to add timeless astragal bars to. Origin Windows were then also a clear choice, as they could be made to match the rest of their home and create a truly integrated look. All of their Origin items were made in RAL shade 7006 Beige Grey, a unique colour perfect for their family home.

Their bespoke doors have removed the draughts that their previous doors gave, as well as reducing noise levels. Another important factor for John and Sue was thermal efficiency, and thanks to our expert engineering, Origin Bi-fold Doors are designed to limit airflow from one side of the window to the other, meaning that their home is kept at a usable temperature all year round. These technical benefits were boosted by the aluminium doors and windows sleek design and aesthetic appeal, making it a great combination. Security was also a concern for John and Sue, but with the product's security locking systems, such as the eight-point locking system on the door and Yale Encloser lock on the window, those worries have been put at ease.

Following the installation, family and friends have been extremely impressed with John and Sue’s new Origin products. Sue’s Mum has even gone on to order herself a set of bi-folding doors for her own home.
