Modernising the Home with a Secure Aluminium Front Door

Having lived in their Hertfordshire home for the last 5 years, the Culvers felt it was time to give the front of their home a fresh new look and increase the kerb appeal. The best way they thought to do this was by replacing their old timber front door with an Origin Front Door, made from premium-grade aluminium to offer strength, elegance and low maintenance.

With two young children, security was just as much of a priority as the look of their front door; they needed a design that they could trust. Their existing timber front door wasn’t offering them the peace of mind they needed as a family, which had begun to warp and flex. The Culvers’ discovered the Origin Residential Door after visiting their local partner showroom, HBD Systems. The sleek, contemporary design combined with highly secure locking systems and extra safety precautions like finger safe gaskets, meant that the couple would benefit from both an aesthetically-pleasing and secure front door that would even help to increase the value of their property.

With over 150 RAL colours and 35 panel options to choose from, the Culvers’ were able to easily find the perfect match for their home. They opted for panel option SE07 in popular colour 7016M (anthracite grey), which beautifully matched their existing windows and contrasts well with the red brick from their house. They chose to install sidelights to allow more natural light into their hallway area, which are custom-made Origin fixed windows with frosted glass for privacy.

The Hafi Bar/Straight Handle adds an elegant touch to their front door and, along with Origin’s automatic locking system, the couple simply shut the door behind them to securely lock it; no need to lift a handle or physically lock the door with a key.

The results...

Overall the door has changed the families outlook on the security of their home, making them feel much safer. Their friends and family are impressed with how their new aluminium front door looks. The Culvers’ have said that they wouldn’t do anything differently if they were to start the project all over again and that they wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Origin products to anyone looking for a new front door.
